Emmie Deebo Earns Four Nominations at 2025 Africa Arts Entertainment Awards


 Award-winning musician Emmie Deebo has secured four nominations at the 2025 Africa Arts Entertainment Awards (Aaea) scheduled to take place on March 30 in Nairobi, Kenya. The nominations are for Best New Female Artist, Best Collaboration by New Act, Best Music Video by New Act, and Best Hit Single by New Act.

All four nominations are for her hit song "Hapa", which features Tanzanian artist Platform. The Aaea recognizes emerging and established talents across the continent, considering industry impact, fan votes, and panel selection process.

Reacting to the nominations, Emmie Deebo said they are a testament to her hard work and dedication to music. She urged her fans to vote for her, as winning the awards will depend on the number of votes she receives. Emmie Deebo is currently working on her debut album, "First Born", which promises to be a reflection of her journey, emotions, and growth as an artist.

The musician's management team, Akometsi, views the nominations as a validation of Emmie Deebo's hard work and a boost for her brand on the international level. Operations and marketing manager Laurent Kwakwala said the nominations will strengthen her brand, open doors for more collaborations, and increase her visibility.

MALAWI FILM INDUSTRY GETS BOOST FROM NIGERIAN COLLABORATION

  Renowned Nigerian actors Charles Awurum, Charles Inojie, and Nkeiruka Sylvanus have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Film Association of Malawi (Fama) to collaborate on a new movie production. The partnership aims to support the growth of the local film industry in Malawi.
