Martse Memorial Show Returns for Third Edition

The Martse Memorial show is set to return for its third edition on May 24 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe. The event, which celebrates the life and legacy of rapper Martse, will feature 15 artists this year.

According to Martse Foundation spokesperson Uchizi Nkhata, the number of artists has been reduced to give each performer more time on stage. Preparations for the event are underway, with the foundation aiming to execute a well-planned event to honor Martse's contributions to Malawian music.

The memorial show serves a dual purpose: celebrating Martse's life and sustaining his vision by supporting education initiatives. In previous years, the event has raised funds for a desk initiative that has benefited schools in Mangochi, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu. This year, the goal is to raise funds to donate desks to schools in the Southern Region.

Some of the artists lined up to perform at the memorial show include Fredokiss, Lulu, Morale the Rapper, Malceba, and Wikise. Martse, known for hits like "Go Deeper" and "Adidas," passed away in 2022, leaving a lasting impact on Malawian music.

The Martse Memorial show promises to be an exciting event that celebrates the life and legacy of a talented artist while giving back to the community.
