Michael Usi Advocates for Arts and Tourism


The Vice President of Malawi, Michael Usi, has emphasized the importance of the arts and culture sector in promoting tourism in the country. He expressed his desire to leverage these creative industries to attract more visitors to Malawi.

Usi is particularly excited about collaborating with Nigerian artists Charles Awurum, Nkiru Sylvanus, and Charles Inojie on a new film titled "Malawi Virus." He stated, Art is crucial, and I want to use it to promote tourism, mining, and agriculture.

The film "Malawi Virus" aims to deliver a clear message about the country's potential and opportunities. Usi shared that he met these artists during the birthday celebration of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, where they found common interests and decided to collaborate.
