Musician Dan Lufani Granted Bail After Assault Arrest
Renowned musician Dan Lufani was granted bail by Lingadzi Police in Lilongwe on Wednesday, a day after his arrest for allegedly assaulting an employee of Lilongwe Water Board. The incident occurred when the employee visited Lufani's Area 49 house to disconnect water.
According to Lingadzi Police Station deputy public relations officer Maria Kumwenda, Lufani spent a night in a cell before meeting the bail conditions. Kumwenda confirmed that Lufani is expected to appear in court to answer assault charges soon.
The musician, known for his hit song "Part of Life," has not yet commented on the issue. The arrest and subsequent bail have raised attention in the music industry, with fans awaiting Lufani's response to the allegations.
