TAY GRIN VOWS TO BOOST MALAWI'S TOURISM INDUSTRY


Malawi's newly appointed tourism ambassador, musician Tay Grin, has expressed his commitment to marketing Malawi's tourism sector to attract international visitors. Speaking upon his return from the Trace Music Awards in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Tay Grin revealed that the event presented a valuable opportunity for Malawi to strengthen its tourism ties with Zanzibar.

Tay Grin had a productive meeting with Zanzibar's Commissioner of Tourism, Arif Abbas Manji, to discuss joint advertising efforts, connecting operators, showcasing products, and enhancing infrastructure. He also engaged with top industry leaders and global artists to explore potential business partnerships with Malawi.

The rapper emphasized the importance of networking and collaboration to boost Malawi's tourism industry. "Malawi is home to rich cultural heritage and attractions like Lake Malawi and the mountains. We should strive to partner with big influencers, superstar events, and global platforms to amplify our destinations," he said.

Minister of Tourism Vera Kamtukule praised Tay Grin for showcasing Malawi's tourism potential. She noted that hosting international events like the Trace Awards could attract world stars to Malawi, boosting the country's tourism industry.
