MALAWIAN FILMMAKER SUKEZ SPEAKS OUT AGAINST POLITICIANS EXPLOITATION

Malawian filmmaker Sukez has a warning for young people "beware of politicians who promise the world but fail to deliver". Sukez knows this firsthand, having been exploited by a major political party during the 2020 election. They asked to use his camera equipment and personnel for free, promising future rewards, but once they won, they ignored him.

Sukez shared his cautionary tale on Facebook, advising young people to focus on building their own futures rather than relying on handouts or promises from politicians. He recalled how he allowed politicians to use his equipment for free, hoping for future compensation, but was left disappointed when they ignored him after winning the election.

Sukez's experience highlights the importance of being cautious when dealing with politicians. He advises young people to leverage their talents, education, and skills to build a sustainable future, rather than relying on promises of a better tomorrow. As Malawi gears up for its elections in September, Sukez's warning serves as a timely reminder to be wary of politicians who promise the world but fail to deliver.

It's not all doom and gloom, though. Sukez's story also highlights the importance of resilience and determination. Despite being exploited, he has continued to build a successful career as a filmmaker. In fact, he was even listed in Forbes Africa's 30 under 30 list in 2020.

As young people navigate the complex world of politics and entrepreneurship, Sukez's story serves as a powerful reminder to stay focused, work hard, and be cautious of those who promise the world but fail to deliver.
